1. Comfortable!

   This was the perfect choice as a meditation foundation. Very comfortable and large enough so that my knees don't hang over the side.

   This is good when paired with the large zafu (which I wrote a review on that as well.) Very good for 2-8 hour sitting in zazen (half lotus / full lotus.) I mean you could easily even sit seiza on this and it's very very comfy. You have to get up sometimes to do kinhin to stretch your knees / legs, but it's minimal compared to any other zabuton you can buy. More experienced people who are used to zazen posture, you can sit on this for 4+ hours without moving (and you will experience no discomfort.)
   
   The competitor, which they do make an ok travel zafu, their zafu is just soooo thin. The description is also very funny. It says for "carpeted room or space with padded flooring." This is wrong, as it's literally no different than just being on a hard floor. I'm not sure what you would do with this zabuton. I mean I can fold it up VERY easily and use it for travel, but it offers no padding on the floor, meaning you can't use it for long term sitting or intensive practice (Sesshin, meaning "to touch true mind.") I'm not sure what you would do with this zabuton (maybe use it to cover another piece you're sitting on?)
   
   Anyways I was very disappointed with this other zabuton, but I will hold onto it for travel purposes. These other ones you can buy, they're not properly stuffed and they don't have zippers.
   
   Also if you buy a larger size like this Jumbo zabuton, it's a good choice even if you're only 5'9" like I am. The difference between this and the smaller ones is not simply width or length, but extra stuffing too. If you plan on going for 8-16 hours, then this is the zabuton to get. Remember there is a zipper too, which means it's quality. Most other ones you can buy are poorly stitched compared to this. That wool zabuton I purchased, was very poorly made. I mean the fabric is nice, but the stitching is bad, and there's almost no stuffing. They felt it was more important to affix the emblem, then to actually make it correctly so it's useful to people who practice zazen...
   
   Anyways, this zabuton is wonderful. This is big, but big is what you want. As far as zazen, what is this like? Well I can have my teapot on the side on a small table / platform, with a nice looseleaf Chinese jasmine tea, golden sail brand or sunflower brand tea, and it's like sitting on a mattress for your legs almost. It's not excess or luxury at all, it means you can sit for 4-8 hours in deep concentration or (or even longer!) It's maybe only $5-$10 more expensive than the other ones. For something like this that lasts maybe even decades, you should put thought into selecting a zabuton that works for you. It was very pleasing, and also BLACK is the best color to buy. If you buy other colors, you often can't use them in group sitting. Cinnamon is probably a better choice if you practice Thai Forest Tradition (Theravada, such as Ajahn Chah's lineage.) I have been sitting for 10+ years (only zazen,) but even for Vipassana this is a good choice. It's less portable, but for long term practice it's great. You cannot experience samadhi, or anything at all, without the stability of a great zabuton. It's important anyways to mention that this works well for zazen, although there shouldn't be a goal of any sort when practicing zazen. A bad zabuton is simply just an unwelcome distraction which dilutes your practice. So this is why I buy the good ones. If you're starting out also, it's good to make the right choices early on. I have made a lot of mistakes and tried many different types of zabuton, so I know what works well. Sure others can be very similar to this, but this was a good choice (you can't go wrong with this zabuton.) 3. Big and Comfy

   I'm tall (6' 2) and have long legs and knees usually extend beyond the edges of standard sized Zabuton. This one fit me perfect and was extraordinarily comfortable.
   Arrived very quickly too.

   The absolute best zabuton out there. You do not have to be tall to appreciate it. I'm 5'5" and wanted a zabuton that did not feel like a lumpy postage stamp. Purchased a "jumbo" from another store via Amazon and there was nothing jumbo about it. Returned it same day. Got this one and...nirvana. Absolute bliss. And the shipment was lightning-fast after I ordered - with just the regular standard shipping method. Thank you, Zafustore. Great product, great service.

   I'm very happy with this mat--exceptional quality, thick and comfortable, and the perfect size for me. I'm 6'1" with long legs and a zabuton smaller than this would certainly have my knees at or hanging over the edge. Shipping was fast, too! A+ all the way around!

   Just a very well made, high quality, comfortable zabuton. I got the jumbo-sized one, and I'm glad I did. I'm 6'1", and it fits me just perfectly.

   The jumbo size is perfect for taller people, and the extra-thick padding makes it more comfortable too. The extra size and thickness make it easier for less-flexible bodies. I own four of these now and they are always appreciated by others in my group. I am very happy with the quality too.

10. For the taller meditator

    Taller people have more leg to fold up. If you are over 6 feet tall then this is the one to get! Especially useful when teamed up with the large zafu cushion!
