This is my first time ordering from this company, and I can say I was not disappointed! The kapok zafu is very comfortable, provides excellent support and looks really nice. It was delivered within a week's time according to the delivery option I chose.
I will probably order a buckwheat zafu from the Zafu Store in the next few months so as to have two cushions with slightly different "feel" to them. Thank you for making this lovely cushion!

This cushion is very good. The fabric has a soft hand, is durable (has lasted me several years without so much as a rip or tear or any wear showing), and the colors are attractive (I have black and brown). The filling is tight, very supportive, and bounces back after sitting. The cushion was delivered quickly and without any fuss.

I've had the buckwheat-hulled cushion for several years, but decided to get the kapok filled this time. It's a different feel than the other. Same high quality materials and workmanship used in both. Now I go back and forth on each and in some ways there's a difference, though only minor and very subtle. You can't go wrong with either. Enjoy!

Great Zafu at a Great Price

I purchased a buckwheat hull filled zafu from zafustore.com several weeks ago and love it. I wanted to have a lighter weight zafu to keep in my Tai Chi gear bag and bought a second one, this time kapok filled. The kapok filled zafu is going to take some time to break in, just as described, but it is comfortable to me right out of the box. I have gotten excellent customer service from this store, everything I have purchased from them is very good quality, and they ship very quickly. I love this place and love this zafu.

I LOVE my new Zafu from ZafuStore.com!!!
I previously had a buckwheat zafu from another place that charged too much and I found it very uncomfortable. This kapok filled zafu is very comfy and it is nice and thick (high) to make it easier to cross my legs for extended periods of time!! I am 5'8" tall, so it might be too high for someone that is 6" or more shorter than I am.
And, ZafuStore has great prices for great quality!!!

In 20+ years of sitting meditation, I have tried all kinds of cushions of various shapes and fill-materials --- and have found that what supports me best is a very firmly kapok-stuffed zafu. I used to make them at a Zen monastery and I know it's very difficult to get all that kapok in there evenly. The ZafuStore has done it better than I had imagined possible.
I am only 5' 2", and the medium cushion fits me fine. It came looking like a very cute ball, so the height was initially a bit high for me, but it will flatten to fit with use. The cover is beautifully made. The mindfulness and care in their work is evidenced even in the "small" things like the astonishing, beautiful, meticulous way they sealed the plastic bag that protected the zafu. I've never seen anything like it.
They were also really conscientious about letting me know the status of my order. My sense is it mattered to them as much as it mattered to me... which is a lot.
