Excellent quality, comfortable sit

I recently started meditating on a cushion again after years of meditating on a chair. After some research, I determined that a crescent zafu would be more comfortable for the way that I sit (Burmese position). After much investigation I decided to purchase this one. I am so glad that I did! This zafu is beautifully constructed, solidly packed with kapok and very attractive. I suspect that it will last me many, many years. And the crescent shape allows me to sit more comfortably with less stress on my knees. I would definitely purchase other items from the ZafuStore.

I've had this cushion for over a year now, and it is wonderful! The crescent shape is perfect for my sitting position, which is (approximately) Burmese style, with the closer heel tucked in toward the groin. The indent of the crescent creates the perfect space for that heel. The stuffing is very firm and stable. (My previous cushion had buckwheat hulls that would sometimes shift like a beanbag chair during meditation.) Over the coarse of a year, it has compacted some, but it's still 5 inches or more high. The fabric and stitching seem quite durable; looks like it will last for many years.

Firm but not bulky, lightweight but durable, the kapok crescent zafu supports your body in an upright position for easier breathing and improved concentration. Its crescent shape conforms to that of your body, so you don't get the "bucking bronco" feeling of some round zafus. I bought a few for our meditation class, and the response has been enthusiastic.

The stuffing was extremely packed in. This allowed me to remove the kapok until it was to my liking. The stitching is great quality and it fits in well within the Rochester Zen Centre (where brown is necessary). Great product which really adds extra dimensions to sitting possibilities. It is still very functional as a normal zafu (except kneeling posture is not so achievable on its side)

Soft and comfortable, very solid and gives a zazen posture easily. can sit for hours without getting tired fast delivery and nice packing.
