Product Description

Our Zafu and Zabuton Set includes one zafu and one zabuton.   Zafus are traditionally used while placed on top of a zabuton.  You can save money by ordering both products together.

Our zafu is a round shaped meditation cushion with pleated sides. The cover is made of durable cotton twill fabric. We hand stuff our zafus with buckwheat hulls or natural kapok so that they will not collapse after a few sittings. All our zafus are double-stitched for extra strength and come with a carrying handle.

The zabuton is filled with natural kapok. The kapok is packed to provide solid support, and yet is soft and comfort. The outer cover is made of durable cottton twill fabric and has a zipper along one length so that it can be easily removed and washed. Inside the cover, the kapok is enclosed in a casing. Each zabuton is 30" long by 28" wide and may fits people up to 5' 10" tall.

  • The zabuton fill with kapok, which is softer and more resilient than cotton batting   
  • Most meditation centers used kapok zafu.  Kapok zafu is softer and very comfortable cushion
  • Buckwheat zafu is adjustable with zipper opening under the carrying handle
  • Buckwheat zafu do not compress with use.  Like sitting in sand they will mold to your shape
  • We recommend children or people with smaller size (< 130 lbs) should get the crescent zafu

  1. Meditation Cusion Set

    This is the 3rd set we have purchased as they are so comfy to sit on whilst doing meditation and prayers! Having the large cushion at the bottom helps with your ankles and lower legs whilst seated on the actual round cushion! Would recommend to anyone who meditates and goes to long prayer sessions!

    I received my zafu within days. Very prompt. Maybe it's because I was used to sitting on softer cushions, but this zafu feel really firm/hard and leaves my tailbone a bit sore...I sit for at least 30 min. a day. Perhaps I need to "break it in". Overall, it helps with my sitting posture.

    had been using a folded pillow and quilts for weeks until I dared to order your zafu and zabuton set...and I'm very glad I did...makes sitting even more wonderful. The quality of these products is exceptionable and to be able to remove covers for cleaning is great. Like I said, never sat on a zafu before but the written descriptions were on the mark in helping me decide on the specifics of my purchase. I am quite pleased with the set I received...thank you for adding to me meditation practice in a new and profound way...peace and sit well.

    Seems good quality. The zafu is stuffed full and zipper allows user to adjust firmness and height by removing filling.

    This is an amazing cushion set! It is very well made, and great for long meditation. I feels very durable. I usually meditate between 30 minutes to an hour and the cushion set keeps me comfortable. Also, I found that just having the cushions gives me extra incentive to meditate because there is now always a space to meditate that is readily available and inviting.

    I have not tried it yet. My tai chi class only meets once a week. I have given everyone in the class your email address so they purchase a set too. I wish there were straps on the mat, since it seems difficult to carry every week to class. Our teacher has a mat that has straps on both sides so she can fold it in half to carry. Looking forward to trying my new mat and pillow.
