Our Zafu and Large Zabuton Set includes one zafu and one zabuton.   Zafus are traditionally used while placed on top of a zabuton.  You can save money by ordering both products together.

Our zafu is a round shaped meditation cushion with pleated sides. The cover is made of durable cotton twill fabric. We hand stuff our zafus with buckwheat hulls or natural kapok so that they will not collapse after a few sittings. All our zafus are double-stitched for extra strength and come with a carrying handle.

The zabuton is filled with natural kapok. The kapok is packed to provide solid support, and yet is soft and comfort. The outer cover is made of durable cottton twill fabric and has a zipper along one length so that it can be easily removed and washed. Inside the cover, the kapok is enclosed in a casing. Each zabuton is 33" long by 30" wide and may fits people up to 6' tall.

  • The zabuton fill with kapok, which is softer and more resilient than cotton batting   
  • Most meditation centers used kapok zafu.  Kapok zafu is softer and very comfortable cushion
  • Buckwheat zafu is adjustable with zipper opening under the carrying handle
  • Buckwheat zafu do not compress with use.  Like sitting in sand they will mold to your shape
  • We recommend children or people with smaller size (< 130 lbs) should get the crescent zafu

    the quality of the zafu and zabuton is quite good. the stitching and filling in both are also of a good quality. the price is more than reasonable compared to others that i have seen on other websites

    So far amazing. Love the zafu. I had another zafu from some other company and after using for a good year and a half it pretty much became useless. I think this one will hold up the test of time.

    This is a quality product it seems like it will hold up a long time. The buckwheat zafu is perfect not to soft not to hard.

    I bought this for my husband and he loves it! He is a big guy with tight hips and has a hard time sitting cross-legged. This really helps him with that and to be comfortable to meditate for long stretches. The sage is more of a gray color, but it's still nice. Thanks so much!

    I spent some time at a Soto Zen solo retreat about 20 something years ago. Part of that time I helped stuff and prepare there similar product. I have to say the product is just fine. Better than I expected, and if they sent me a coupon for lets say 20% off, I'd buy another as a gift. I chose black on black.

    Couldn't be happier. Didn't understand from only shopping online why a zafu/zabuton set would cost $100, but now I do. I'd've paid $150 or more for the set I received; the quality's that good. Shipped same day as ordered and arrived as promised. Will shop certainly shop Zafustore again.

    Everything about this product is excellent. I've been using mine for over two years now, nearly daily and it still looks like new. Zafustore doesn't skimp on the kapok either. The zabuton is soft and the zafu is firm.
